E2D Welcomes a New Employee - Katie Brookes

The E2D team is excited to announce that Katie Brookes has joined the team. Katie originally started working with E2DESIGNLAB's predecessor, Ecological Engineering as an environmental engineer back in 2007.

While working in consulting, Katie recognised that adoption of WSUD required more than just the right technology and that it was complicated by social, economic and political factors. In light of this, Katie left consulting in 2009 to undertake research with Monash Water for Liveability on the adoption and community perceptions of WSUD.

Katie says that "this recent experience in this research has broadened my understanding of what is required to facilitate change and adoption, which I believe is valuable in approaching and addressing the current challenges facing sustainable urban water management".
